He was so simple natured person he worked of Quran Binding and it was only source of his earning. Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat Pir Muhammad Karam Shah started his Quranic Education from such competent personalities; one who truly avoided worldly luxuries and served for religion should become Zia-ul-Ummat.

EARLY SCHOOLING (Alma- Matters)

He started his education from Mohammdia Ghousia Primary School in 1925. He was first student of this school. So according to this record, he was seven years old. It’s conceivable that he attended adjoined Dars-e-Quran of Durbar-e- Allia along with his Schooling. Master Barkhudar was his first teacher from School Teachers. He was Head Master of Mohammdia Ghousia School. His ancestral rural community was Chak Ram Das Tehsil Bhalwal District Sargodha. Those days “Pir Shah Sahib” belonged to Saroba or Tobha across the river worked as secretary of Langer Sharif (alms house) his mode of writing was excellent. Hazoor learned plank writing and furnished his mode of writing. At that time there were four classes in primary school. So accordingly he continued his education there from 1925 to 1929. After that he got admission in High School and passed his Matriculation Examination from Government High School Bhera in 1936. The following were his School Teachers who immensely inspired Hazoor. Mr. Zafar Ahmed Chaudry Sahib, Chaudry Jahandad Sahib, Mr.Farman Shah Sahib, Qazi Muhammad Siddique Sahib, Sheikh Muhammad Khurshid Ahmad Sahib.

RELIGIOUS STUDY

Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat stated “I was going through Mohala Pir Azam Shah near the street of “Takhat Posh Mosque”. I met Maulana Muhammad Qasim Balakoti on the way. I asked him that “I want you to teach me, which book should I bring.” he replied” Pand Nama”. I was present with the book next day and respected teacher started my teaching with Persian. I studied following books from Maulana Muhammad Qasim Balakoti Persian: Kareema, Pind Nama, Massdar-e-Fiyuz, Naam-e-Haq,Arabic Grammer: Complete Surf and Nahav till Kafia. After Maulana Muhammad Qasim Balakoti, Maulana Abdul Hameed Sahib was contacted who belonged to Khattiala Sheikhan. He was teaching in Jamia Mosque. He taught me few lessons commencing Kafia in adjacent mosque of Durbar Baba Mojdeen (AR) after Zohar Prayer. The above stated mosque had been reconstructed. This mosque is adjoined with Bus Stand. At that time this mosque was a bit far away from settlement but now its in urban area and it’s so populated. Children have been taught five time prayers, Friday address and prayers performed there. How much its blessing of God that. Hazrat Zia-ul-Ummat acquired knowledge from his teacher in a far off mosque. Today just as gratitude to that beneficence his students are performing the duties of immamat in Mosques for Friday prayers and five time prayers. Afterwards Maulana was called on to Durbar Sharif. Hazrat Zia-ul-Ummat studied these books from Maulana Abdul Hameed Sahib. “Alfia, Sharaha-e- Jamie, Magazines of Mantaq (logic), Qutbi, Mir Qutbi, Mabzi, Maula Hassan and Sanjani. Its the duration of two years when he was stating about these two years his expressions were not worthy mentionable for that duration. He stated that he studied these books from Maulana, but longing were not still ended. After Maulana Abdul Hameed Sahib, Scholar of Manatiqa Hazrat Maulana Din Sahib of Badhu near Wah Cant honoured Dar-ul-Uloom Mohammdia Ghousia as teacher. It should be clear that Hazrat Ameer Jundullah (RA) when started Mohammdia Ghousia Primary School along with that inaugurated a religious institute “Dar-ul-Uloom Mohammdia Ghousia Various students used to come there according to that time. Maulana Noor Muhammad Ayubi, Qari Fazal Din Sahib, Maulana Abdul Karim Sahib Abdalvi, Maulana Hakeem Khalil-ur-Rehman Rizvi, all these scholars and a lot of others benefited from this Institute. In consistence with that time same situation was with teachers, those people who expressed their desire and affection for knowledge, teachers honored them and in accordance with their necessity stayed there. In these circumstances Maulana Budhavi was invited. Hazrat Zia-ul-Ummat studied from master of Almunatiqia. Mullah Hassan, Mir Zahid, Mullah Jalal, Hamdullah, Qazi Mumbarik, Salam-ul-Aloom, Saddra, Shams Bazigha, Mukhtasir-ul-Mauni, Mutawul, Muntaq, and Philosophy. Maulana Budhavi was an expert scholar. His lecturing style was remarkable. He strictly avoided irrelevant discussion. The thirst that Hazoor was feeling from last two years now it was satisfied. Hazrat Zia-ul-Ummat stated about Maulana Budhavi that he was so exquisite. He did not only wear spotless dresses himself but also instructed his students to do that. Hazoor stated “the teachers who influenced my life so much, he was one of them.” As he started teaching me then he said to my respected father” give me money, I would buy dresses for my student myself.” He gave ten rupees to respected teacher. He bought three suits, one hankie and one pair of shoes and tailored these dresses from first class tailor master Abdullah. Then said to me if I watched any stain or ink spot on your dress, then I would ask you. He stated one day I kept my pen in my pocket, that pen spotted my pocket. Time was so short, so new dress could not get ready. It was noon when I started washing out the spot. I did my best it just faded but it was not cleared out thoroughly. I was nervous how I would confront respected teacher. I tied my handkerchief on my head and let loose its one curve on my pocket. This way I concealed the mark and studied my lesson.

This statement we could might sight presumption on one side that how much exquisite and sensitive was the teacher and compliance of student on the other side as well. Hazrat Maulana Ghulam Mehmood of Piplan Sharif was replaced with Maulana Muhammad Din Sahib. Hazoor affirmed that he never delivered any lecture without study. He investigated about each word. He was so simple natured. He stayed there for one year and taught these books. Literature: Hammasa, Mutabana Fiqah: Hadaiya Sharif Logics: Mathematics, Askar, Rabi-al-Majeed, Astronomy,.

JOURNEY OF MOHRA KADOLTHEY

Exactly we could not say about the year. But during these years he attended the lessons of Maulana Qazi Sanaullaha Sahib in “Mohra Kadoltheay” for revision of Surf & Nahv. Actual village of Qazi Sahib was Mohra Kadoltheay. He was a farmer and a scholar as well. Wherever he went students accompanied with him and study their lessons. Students used to manage boarding and lodging for themselves. Its practically shape was that students used to reside near the town where He used to stay. Charitable persons managed for their food. Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat stayed in Punjain.

ORIENTAL COLLEGE LAHORE

In those days Scholar of Arabic exams were held under Punjab University. So he got admission in Oriental College Lahore for Scholar of Arabic examination in 1941. His teachers in this College were the following:

Sheikh Muhammad Arabi

He belonged to Teyunis or Aljazire and teacher of Arabic Literature. He used to give weekly assignments to his students. Hazoor stated that when he submitted his assignment / Maqala in Arabic language. Then my respected teacher studied it with full concentration and said to me “work hard in grammar, I expect for your excellent success. After that Sheikh Muhammad Arabi concentrated this individual student too much and he guided so much about Arabic Literature.

Mr. Rasool Khan Sahib

He studied Trimzi Sharif and Slum-ul-Aloom. Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat stated that he was so much competent and qualified lecturer. He educated for a short term in Dar-ul-Aloom Deo Band afterwards joined this college as lecturer. Hazoor quoted that from early days of his life, he was confident about sect of Sunnah that it’s true devotion and. We are following the right way. Because saints belong to this group. But there was confusion in my mind that until we did not find those arguments from Hadith and Quran, which justify our point of view, and we could prove it to our opponents that Sunnah is the only true sect.

When I studied Trimzi Sharif from Mr. Rasool Khan Sahib then I came to know that there are sufficient arguments in Hadith Sharif about our conviction. I also enquired the fact that only we could get access to Quran Majeed through Hadith Sharif. Although respected teacher had more tendency towards Deo Bandi School of though but during teaching Trimzi Sharif sound proved from him I understood that there are arguments about our conviction only in Hadith Sharif and from original sources of Islam only our sect is a justified sect.

Maulana Noor-ul-Haq

Zia-ul-Ummat stated that I studied Bezawi Sharif and Al kaamil-ul-lumberd from him. He went on leave for some time and I studied from Maulana Abdul Qudoos Qasmi Sahib. This educational period was shorter than one year. During his stay he resided in one room of shrine Hazrat Data Gung Bakhsh (RA), this room was very close to the closet of Hazrat Khawaja Gharib Nawaz (RA) now all the environment have been changed after extension. His assignment for which teacher paid special affection, was written in that room. After residing there for some time, he shifted to the residence of Mr. Moazzam Ali. Mr. Moazzam Ali’s residence was in the line of Maulana Maududi’s house in Ichara.Mr. Moazzam Ali Sahib has close and old relations with Darbar-e-Alia. His father Mr. Alam Khan was Tehsildar in Bhera Sharif at the time of Hazrat Amir-ul- Salekeen (RA). From that period family terms were continued. He passed Scholar of Arabic exam in First Division getting 512 marks out of 600 with Distinction of standing First in Punjab. He came to know from his friends after exams of Arabic that there was a Scholar of religion who was an expert of Fiqah in District Hazara’s city Mansehra. Hazoor decided to get benefited from him. In Mansehra, Hazoor studied lessons of Doctrines of Fiqah. Maulana was a teacher in School. In the early time of day he used to teach in School and second time teach lesson in Jamia masque of Kangoo Mohala. Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat (RA) stayed there for about two and half months.
