Daura Hadith Sharif
When he completed his rationale studies, he started
thinking about completing Hadith Sharif. Two teachers were under
consideration; this honour should get from Hazrat Maulana Amjad
Ali Sahib or from Maulana Syed Muhammad Naeem-ud-Din Murad Abadi
(RA). He went to Siyal Sharif Sheikh-ul-Islam Hazrat Khawaja Muhammad
Qammar-ud-Din Siyalvi (RA) ordered for Murad Abadi Sharif. So he
went to Maulana Syed Muhammad Naeem-ud-Din Murad Abadi (RA) in 1942.
During these days Pakistan Movement was on its peak. Hazrat Sadr-ul-Afazil
Maulana Syed Muhammad Naeem-ud- Din Murad Abadi (RA) was so busy
person but he expressed his extreme affection. Bukhari Sharif completely
and few other books he educated himself. He educated fundamental
educations about Mysticism and Islam’s social and moral system
Remaining portion of Hadith Sharif and lessons of other books he
responded to Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Omar Sahib, and respected father
Maulana Ather Naeemi Sahib. Both the two teachers treated so gently
and affectingly. Hazoor confirmed that he got information about
various segments of life in presence of Maulana Syed Muhammad Naeem-ud-Din
Murad Abadi (RA). Relationship between teacher and student I just
acquired awareness about it from the said teacher’s presence.
The respected teacher whenever got weary, he used to have massage
of Almonds oil on his head. Hazoor stated that during my stay in
Murad Abad Sharif often he got that honour. He completed his Hadith
Sharif in 1943. Hazrat dewan Syed aley Rasool Ali Khan Ajmeri R,A
(sajjada nashin dargah ajmer sharif) awarded the diploma. While
awarding this diploama Maulana Syed Muhammad Naeem-ud-Din Murad
Abadi (RA) affirmed “ I am satisfied that I was trusty of
spiritual sciences and Hadith Sharif. That trust I entrusted to
suitable individual.”
After getting education and reserving of knowledge
from Maulana Syed Muhammad Naeem-ud-Din Murad Abadi (RA) he returned
back to Bhera Sharif. After completing Hadith Sharif, he graduated
from Punjab University in 1945. These days Pakistan Movement was
at its climax and scenario of Sub-Continent was rapidly changing.
His respected father Ghazi-ul-Islam Hazrat Pir Muhammad Shah Sahib
(RA) had vigorously joined activities of movement. At one side he
was conveying message of Quaid-e-Azam through his preaching tours
in rural community to his group of disciples and on the other side
he was vigorously attempting to reveal the conspiracies, reality
of Unionist Party that was established with communal conspiracy
of British and Hindus. Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat also joined the group
of patriarchs and scholars with Hazrat Amir Jundullah (RA.). In
this period Gandhi addressed a public rally and by presenting concept
of jingoism he attempted for suspicion to Muslim majority’s
hearts. Supreme commands of Muslim League managed for a huge gathering
in response of that rally. Public of entire region participated
in this congregation. Muslim League’s supreme command selected
Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat to response the speech of Mr. Gandhi. He rejected
in very effectual and argumentive manner. By which Muslims once
again demanded for Pakistan and they became enthusiastic for their
demand. During this era along with participating Pakistan Movement’s
activities he continued educating in Dar-ul-Uloom Mohammdia Ghousia
adjoined to shrine.
JAMIA-TUL-AZHAR
Jamia-Tul Azhar is the largest university in the Islamic world.
It was established about one thousand years ago. And its value is
still increasing day by day. Its magnificence is so because this
university has no conceptional or visionary congelation. This institution
has ever recognized the pulse of the hour according to the rapidly
changing global scenario and current demands. Scholars of Egypt
investigated through-out the worldly institutions and carried out
prominent works with them to enhance its grace. They continued the
series of reformation in Azhar. It’s due to this reason that
not only ancient and rational sciences have been taught. But along
with these modern sciences, oriental studies of Europe have been
introduced as well.Ghazi-ul-Islam “Pir Mohammad Shah and Pir
Nadir Shah” the maternal grandfather of Pirzada Niaz Ahmed
Shah who was living in Bombay at the time. Both these two personalities
wished for Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat that he should gain his education
from this famous university. Pir Nadir Shah whenever he visited
Bhera Sharif, expressed the said desire. To gain this honour he
did not face any hurdle and when he completed his education from
the Sub-Continent, he started counseling his fellow men about how
he should get admission in Jamia-Tul-Azhar. He met with Hassan-al-Azmi
who was familiar with him from the period of his studies at Oriental
College Lahore. He explained his inclination to get admission in
Jamia-Tul-Azhar. Hassan-al-Azmi told him that the authorities of
Egypt would occasionally reply and if you would continue your efforts
from Pakistan then you may or may not succeed. You should visit
Egypt by acquiring visit visa through your own efforts. Later on
you could manage your admission after your arrival there. Abdul
Wahab was ambassador of Egypt to Pakistan in those days. When he
was contacted, the visa was issued to Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat. After
his arrival in Egypt he met with Sheikh Nouman Sahib. He showed
extreme affection and managed his admission. He started his studies
there in September1951. It was the era when his father was in his
old age. His courage and determination could be guessed through
this affirmation of Hazoor Zia-ul-Ummat. “When I was leaving
for my journey to Egypt, my father came to Sargodha Railway Station
to see off me. I rode on the train; he was outside on the plateform.
It was night. Moonlight was illuminating his face and he was saying
to me, “Oh my beloved son; I am departing you for acquiring
religious education at this stage of my life when you could be a
great source of relief in my sickness. I am preferring religion
upon my compulsions.
It is my desire that you acquire education with full attention to
attain perfection in religious sciences and become beneficent for
Muslim Ummah”. He used to continuously write me letters during
my stay in Egypt. He was so elegant and dignified. He was of inspiring
presence, internally and externally so commanding that whenever
I received letters I opened them with hands shivering in anticipation.
All the letters I received, no doubt these were of different dates
but the version was same and it was instruction not to leave education
incomplete in any circumstances. You should give preference to approbation
of God and His Holy Prophet . And dedicate yourself for the religion
of Allah and His Rasool . These were the expressions of my father.
On the other hand this noble son protected his honour. He tolerated
all distress and hardships, poorly mealed and passed several nights
awoken but never thought about retracting from his mission at any
moment. He devoted all his student life with full concentration
for knowledge. He set out luminous traditions of hard work. He himself
states “I have passed various nights disengaged from Isha
prayer and got busy in my studies, books revealed their secrets
upon me. In this obliteration call prayers of Fajar make me conscious
about shortness of night. While stating such incidents his temperament
would suddenly change in condition, he would keep silent for some
time. His face expressions would change rapidly then he states with
seizing throat.
‘Oh candle as night is heavy upon thy glory
I passed all life like that according to my memory’
According to another narration during the educational
period of Hazoor Zia–ul-Ummat a peculiar situation was observed.
Hazrat Ghazi-ul-Islam engaged himself in supplementary prayers (nawafil)
after Isha prayer and his beloved son diligent with his studies
lit an earthen lamp. Moths started dropping over the lamp in large
number. Usually such state seems so unpleasant to ones nature but
here this act was increasing a sense of competition for such extremely
sensitive student. Eyewitnesses stated that at the last hours these
moths of lamp disappeared but this moth of light of knowledge passed
his night in this state of fascination.
During his foreign education he showed extreme
diligence and completed six years of course work, within three
years, and presented such a unique character during his educational
session in Al-Azhar that he became respected and highly esteemed
before his teachers and students. Usually in research activities
often he had to face contention or wrangling (discussions) where
only lecturers could participate. But Hazoor got such a valuable
position in the hearts of teachers due to his God gifted intelligence
and outstanding caliberty that they permitted you to participate
in contentions side by side with your teachers and often his opinion
was preferred. His teachers awarded him different certificates
as an honor. He was admitted in Jamia-Tul-Azhar in fiqh and usoole
fiqh department. He states his first year was excellent. Second
year he felt that curriculum is insufficient, so I must try to
get some more, so he got admitted in university of Cairo along
with Al-Azhar University. He succeeded at both sides by the grace
of God. He passed his masters in a good position and from Al-Azhar
got excellent grades for Takhusus-Fill-Qazain M.Phill. In this
course his topic for thesis was Alhadood-Fill- Islam. His supervisor
for this thesis was Dr. Ayub Ali belong to East Pakistan. He states
that I did extremely hard work for the thesis, collected references,
it was completely final to submit but due to some emergency, I
had to return back immediately, so I could not submit it. First
year his, teacher was Anis Ebaad. He was so kind to him. Whenever
he went to his home he stated, “Please come my Pakistani
brother and a competent teacher as well”. Mustafa Shabbily
was the second teacher in this department. He was too so affectionate.
Mohammad-Al-Banna was teacher of Tafseer and Shams-ud-Din was
of Fiqah.
During his stay in Egypt, he stayed in an old women house, near
to Al-Azhar University. But her behaviour was not good, so he
changed his residence. His new residence was in Almuaadi Mohall
There he had to cook food for himself and so many other hardships,
he had to face but nothing could stop him from his studies. He
suffered from stomachache during first year. He consulted different
physicians but he did not recover. At last Mr.. Muazam Ali advised
him to consult the physician of the Embassy. This doctor treated
him so sympathetically. Other doctors also concentrated so much,
so he recovered after several days. Hazrat states that my financial
position was not sound that I could pay my medical dues but by
the grace of God all doctors did not charge any fee for my medical
check up. He stayed there for three years. He came back in 1954
He was engaged from 1954 to 1957 in educational activities and
spent most of his time serving his respected father. His father
was so sick these days and died in 1957 and on the eve of his
chehlum renaissance of Darul –Aloom-Mohammadia Ghousia was
started. Lets review honor certificates from Egyptian Teachers
and their predictions, how much these come true. Please see teacher's
Remarks.
